Biographies
A very experienced, tight-knit team works on every brain injury case and for every brain injured survivor. They are skilled in all aspects of the legal process from the initial investigation to resolution. Mr. Webster, Q.C. and the entire team work closely to provide the full and careful development of every case. Each professional on the team has considerable experience working with Mr. Webster Q.C. himself, as well as a range of general experience in their chosen field, and concentrated in the field of brain injury litigation.
Each team member applies their individual skills, training, and special knowledge to the unique cases that the firm handles.
R. Brian Webster, Q.C.
R. Brian Webster received his law degree from the University of British Columbia in 1970 and has represented clients in cases involving personal injury throughout his career. Through his involvement in high profile and complex Traumatic Brain Injury cases Brian Webster has earned a reputation as a leader within the field of brain injury law and a strong advocate for brain injury causes. He established Webster & Associates to deal with traumatic brain injury claims. He is one of the very few Western Canadian lawyers that focuses his practice in this area of law.
In recognition of his excellence in advocacy, trial work and contribution to the brain injury community Brian Webster received the coveted Queen's Counsel or "Q.C." designation in 2006. This is a great honour conferred on select counsel by the Attorney General, upon the recommendation of the Chief Justices of each level of court in British Columbia.
Brian Webster Q.C. has been teaching lawyers and medical and rehabilitation professionals about the legal aspects of brain injury for many years. Internationally, he has presented at the International Brain Injury Conference (Sydney, Australia) and has presented in the United Kingdom to APIL (U.K.'s Association of Personal Injury Solicitors) and in British Columbia is a regular presenter at the prestigious Pacific Coast Brain Injury Conference, and an active participant in conferences and seminars related to his area of practice in Canada and internationally. Mr. Webster has written numerous articles related to brain injury law and is often requested to lecture on Traumatic Brain Injury issues for Continuing Legal Education courses, Trial Lawyers and associations supporting brain injury survivors.
Brian Webster has represented clients from every corner of British Columbia, as well as Alberta, the Yukon, the United States, China and England. He is very well regarded for his courtroom advocacy and while tough, his caring approach with survivors and their families has won him long and rewarding relationships with past clients who must continue to live with brain injuries following the resolution of their case. As a result, Brian Webster Q.C. strongly believes in the importance of community support groups and has been a supporter of the British Columbia Brain Injury Association and the BC Coalition of People with Disabilities.

Barbara Webster-Evans
Barbara Webster-Evans is widely respected and trusted among legal and medical professionals for her work defending public schools and health care entities. Her decision to join Webster & Associates to represent brain injury survivors will provide unique and valuable skills to the benefit of all clients.
Ms. Webster-Evans was called to the B.C. bar in 1984, and has practiced since that time. With a strong background in personal injury and commercial litigation, Ms. Webster-Evans was, prior to joining Webster & Associates, supervising counsel for the Province of British Columbia’s Risk Management Branch (RMB).
In addition to providing strategic leadership for the legal team at RMB, she was accountable for the handling of the most complex litigation conducted by that office. These legal cases generally involved either precedent-setting or multi-million dollar personal injury claims, frequently alleging medical malpractice.
In addition to her handling of personal injury claims, Ms. Webster-Evans frequently writes articles and speaks to health care and education professionals on various topics related to professional liability, medical malpractice, ethics, hospital charting and triage and human rights law, among other topics. Injury prevention is a topic of prime importance to her, and she has consulted on a number of publications of the B.C. Ministry of Education, including “Safe Caring and Orderly Schools,” “Science Safety Manual,” and “Shop Class Safety Manual.”
Ms. Webster-Evans is a member of a number of organizations, including CAPSLE (Canadian Association for the Practical Study of Law in Education), Trial Lawyers Association of BC, American Association of Justice, Canadian Bar Association, the B.C. Bar Association and the Victoria Bar Association. She is also a tireless volunteer, donating time to the University of Victoria Law School, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Victoria and others. As a member of the Vancouver Island Health Authority’s (VIHA) Regional Ethics Committee, Ms. Webster-Evans contributes a legal perspective to discussions around ethical issues of concern and interest to the committee. She has participated as a panelist and speaker to continuing medical education seminars and assisted with the drafting of the VIHA Code of Ethics and associated materials.
Daniel Corrin
Mr. Daniel Corrin holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Corrin is extremely proud of his achievements Webster & Associates, successfully representing seriously injured individuals, obtaining remarkable awards, organizing rehabilitation and helping survivors adapt to their new life post injury. He has been co-counsel at numerous trials at the Supreme Court and appeared at the Court of Appeal.
Prior to being joining Webster & Associates in 2001, Mr. Corrin had a broad range of legal experience. He articled and practiced with a number of prestigious law firms and multinational corporations, including practice as a litigator at an well known ‘insurance defence’ firm. Mr. Corrin's previous experience, especially as an attorney for insurance companies, provides him with an excellent understanding of the legal process and litigation strategy.
Mr. Corrin believes in being an active volunteer in the community and an advocate for the brain injured. In the legal field, his past experience includes Canadian Bar Association sub section leadership, the Legal Services Society Community Law Clinic, and lawyers' pro bono clinic. Mr. Corrin is also an active volunteer outside the legal community, proudly serving for many years on the executive and board of Family Services of Greater Vancouver (www.fsgv.org). He has and continues to advise community brain injury organizations, and participates and gives to the broader head injury community.
Daniel Corrin is currently on the executive of the Trial Lawyers of British Columbia and actively participant in this important legal organization. He has organized seminars for the TLABC and has presented on brain injury and other legal issues in many forums including the Pacific Coast Brain Injury Conference, GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre - Grand Rounds, for B.C. Society of Occupational Therapists, the Certified Life Care Planners, and many others.
Mr. Corrin has always been energetic and his varied history includes participating in student government and starting a non-profit legal research society while at law school. During undergraduate studies Mr. Corrin owned a landscaping business, worked as a teacher for special needs students, and did neuro-psychological testing at the University of British Columbia's Alzheimer's Clinic amongst a thousand other jobs.

M. Dee Rogers, Paralegal
A graduate from the Capilano College Legal Assistant Program in 1990, Dee Rogers has worked continuously as a paralegal with Brian Webster since 1991.
Working closely with Brian Webster, Daniel Corrin and Barbara Webster-Evans to prepare cases for trial, Dee assists in initiating file investigation, interviewing police officers, taking witness statements, instructing private investigators and liaising with experts, clients and their families. She is skilled at analyzing and managing the volumes of complex documentation associated with personal injury cases. Through her concentrated work with Brian Webster, Dee has acquired special knowledge and experience in her job as it relates to neurolaw. Both survivors and families are confident working with Dee, whose relaxed and approachable manner and high level of competence inspires a comfortable relationship.
Along with her contributions to the legal team, Mrs. Rogers is also responsible for the effective office operations of Webster & Associates.
Dee devotes her personal time to learning more about the law and specifically the area of neurolaw in the broader field of personal injury. She is an active survivor advocate in her daily work. She is also the past Chair of the volunteer group, Citizens for Fair Compensation (i.e.: no fault insurance). Dee is a senior instructor with the Canadian Paralegal Institute and regular contributor to "Briefly", the monthly newsletter of the Law Courts Center. Dee is a leader in the paralegal field.
Pascale Robichaud
Ms. Robichaud has worked in the legal profession for 15 years, and has been an integral part of the Webster team since 1996 where she has acquired the specialized knowledge required for cases concerning brain injury law.
Pascale is very experienced in many aspects of the law firm, from the time a file arrives at the office, to the adept handling and organized management of large quantities of complex documents and correspondence, to trial preparation, communication with clients and legal professionals, until the file is closed, and beyond! You won't believe how much is involved in the organization of documents, it can be mind-boggling!
On the administrative side, Pascale is very capable at doing the numerous technical jobs in the office, such as setting up the computer systems and programs which ensure that the office and the law practice are organized and efficient.
Although Pascale's home life keeps her busy with a husband and 2 active boys, she also makes the time to enhance her legal education via online studies, and enjoys both indoor and outdoor activities.
Andrea
Andrea completed her Legal Assistant training in July of 2005 .
She started working with Webster & Associates in October of 2005 and is most often the first face to meet new clients.
Andrea enjoys the busy pace of Webster & Associates and the satisfaction of being part of a team that brings positive change to our clients’ lives.
As of June 1, 2008 Andrea will be away on maternity leave and looks forward to returning next year. Linh Hoang will be managing Andrea's duties during her absence. Lihn speakes Vietnamese and will be available to assist you in English or Vietnamese.
